Another Balloon Card! - Fabulous Chic Balloons

Okay, then!  I think I've finally had my fair share of balloon cards.  Didn't realize what a roll I was on.   And it seems I've had a bit of a crush on Melon Mambo too.  I'm so over it.   I was rummaging through my 12 x12 DSPs and when I came across the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate which was hiding in the stash, I pulled out a sheet determined to use it.  I had an image of clear balloons in my head (probably as a result of balloon overdose) and just couldn't shake it.  Not the most profound use of that gorgeous acetate, but hey, at least I finally used it.  The balloon strings are stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  I used my snips to cut out the banner.  I'm usually not a fan of fussy-cutting, but there really isn't anything fussy about this simple cut.

A little tip when using the Acetate:  Use the Paper-Piercing Tool to "roll up" a Mini Glue Dot and hide it under a few of the polka dots on the balloons.  Out of sight, out of mind!

Lift Me Up Shaker Card

I had some Sprinkles Embellishments spilled out on my craft table and thought they coordinated nicely with several sheets from the Carried Away DSP, so before the idea vanished from my poor short-term memory, I put together a pretty shaker card using the Lift Me Up Bundle.

You're Cool Watercolor Wash

I made this card back in November, a few days after attending my first On Stage.   I'm pretty sure the Cool Treats stamp set is going to be a big hit (if it's not already).  I think this makes for a great "introduction to watercoloring" class for those who have shied away from the technique (until recently, I was one of them).  Since the coordinating Tasty Treats Specialty DSP was not available yet, the juicy flavors from the Fruit Stand DSP made my color selections a breeze.  I used a few strips from that dsp pack as a background.

Balloon Adventures with Pop of Pink DSP

Over the weekend, I had some time to play around with the Balloon Adventures stamp set along with the coordinating Balloon Pop-up Thinlets Dies.  Although I did not use the Thinlets on this card,  (actually, oops, I did -- see the little gold bow?) I do have several more cards where I did use them,  (more substantially) which I will post later today.  Here, I opted for the ease of the Balloon Bouquet Punch.   I just love the combination of colors on this card.  The stripes are heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and the bits of here and there instantly made this pretty card a glamorous card that's ready to celebrate!

Thank you to the SUO Challenge, which is what led me to heat emboss the balloons.
