Panda Squared

I just LOVE Sale-A-Bration!!!   I definitely would have bought this Party Panda stamp set if it was available for purchase, but it's only available as a FREE item during Sale-A-Bration, with a $50 purchase.  And who doesn't love free stuff, especially when it's adorable free stuff.

I thought I'd play along with the sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps, and square up these little fellas.  I used Smoky Slate for the panda on the squares, stamped twice, and Memento Tuxedo Black for the oval panda, stamped twice, for a nice stark contrast between the two shades.   The square pandas almost look like there's a layer of vellum over them.
I found this layout worked very nicely for me and I'll add it to my favorites for future use.

Magical Wizard

I haven't posted anything since mid-summer.  Relocated, down-sized, crammed an entire craft room into a closet.   There's nothing magical about it.  I did work on a few small projects over the past months, but time was short and nothing got posted.  So here we are in a new year, and the best way to get back on track -- make a New Year's Resolution!  Hah!  We all know how those turn out.  Well, at least I'm off to a good start... here's Project #1 for 2018.

This cute card I made while playing around with a few new products.  Sale-A-Bration has kicked off and the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues are now available and you will want to get your hands on both!  And of course, during Sale-A-Bration, for every $50 you spend (from Annual Catalogue and/or Occasions Catalogue) you get one FREE item from the SAB Catalogue.  Spend $100 and you pick TWO FREE items.  Spend $150, pick THREE FREE items, and so on.

I used the Magical Day stamp set and Magical Mates Framelits dies.  If your name is Magical Margie, you know you're buying the entire Myths & Magic Suite!  😉

Ruffled Lemon Zest card

The Lemon Zest stamp set and coordinating Lemon Builder punch are handy to have around for a quick card.  That was my first thought after seeing it in the Annual Catalogue.  I also really like the sentiments of this stamp.
I stamped the lemons with Daffodil Delight ink, wiped off the stamp and then added a little bit of Lemon Lime Twist ink using a sponge dauber.

Just love the Dynamic Textured Impressions folders!  They add so much dimension to a card, while still keeping it clean and simple.  Here, I used Ruffled.   A couple of strips of Fresh Floral DSP, a single border of Pick A Pattern Washi Tape and two elegant Faceted Gems and my card was done.  Sweet!  Or should I say, "sour"

Lovely Trio

In just a few short hours ordering can begin from the NEW 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.  If you need a copy of the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue, email me and I'll let you know how you can receive one.   I will have the link up in my sidebar sometime tomorrow.
To kick-off the catalogue launch, I made this lovely set of cards.  I have to say, I truly like the combination of colors in the new Color Theory DSP.   But I like the paint color chip patterns even better!  I wanted the focus of my cards to be on items from the new catalogue.  In addition to the Color Theory DSP, here you see the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set for background and sentiment and the coordinating Lovely Words Thinlits.  I used a slightly bigger heart from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits to cut out the lovely heart.  Using Whisper White cardstock and sponged-on ink is another way to get that ombre look.  A Basic Black layer beneath makes that color really POP!

Sparkle Alert!!!  Look at the new Glitter Enamel Dots!
You get 4 colors: the three colors I've used & old olive, in ombre hues.  As the colors fade, so do the sizes, getting smaller and lighter.  GENIUS!

Eastern Palace Suite

The Eastern Palace suite is absolutely gorgeous!  The colors, the patterns, the Thinlits and oooohhhhh......those tassels!  Oh, and the gold stickers.  OOH LA LA!

One of the many things I love about the stamps and Thinlits dies of this set is you can satisfy your need to stamp, by detailing the die cuts with the small accent stamps.  But these dies are so pretty and intricate on their own, that a solid cardstock is just as beautiful.

This Eastern Palace suite is absolutely gorgeous!
There are two EXCLUSIVE BUNDLES available through May 31st:

All of the items shown in the bundles will be available individually beginning June 1st.  And yes, the stamps and Thinlits will be available as a Bundle.

Starry Congrats Card

The Stars Framelits are retiring!  This is one of those sets that I find I use year-round...birthdays, Christmas, Fourth of July.  Here, I used them for a graduation card.

The Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate was an afterthought, and I just love how it looks on this card.  I watercolored the bottom layer with Delightful Dijon and brushed on some stripes with the same color Stampin' Write Marker.  It was too blah looking, so I then brushed over it with Clear Wink of Stella.  Still not satisfied, I added a bit of Dazzling Details to the stripes.  Okay, getting there, but still looked a little drab.   That's when I decided to add the foil acetate.  Wow, much better!

The sentiment is from the Happy Happenings stamp set, which is also retiring.  It's also time to bid farewell to Delightful Dijon.

Playful Pyramid Pals

The Playful Pals stamp set and coordinating Pyramid Pals Thinlits are two of the products that will be retiring on May 31st.   It seems like just yesterday when they were introduced, yet it's been two years.  So, before they are gone for good, I thought I'd do a quick project, as a reminder of just how cute and versatile these sets are.
Rather than using cardstock for the darker shade of pi
nk, I thought it would be more fun to stamp those pieces.  Gives it a more handmade kind of look, I feel.
Blushing Bride cardstock and Sweet Sugarplum ink,  since this one is for a little girl.

Pear Pizzazz cardstock and Wild Wasabi ink, for this guy.

I put some M&M's in a small, clear bag.  I simply tucked the large triangle behind the two small flaps and it held up nicely.

Don't miss out on these totally fun and versatile stamps and dies.  Once they're gone, they're gone for good!
