Glimmery Stylish Stems

I received the Special Reason stamp set at On Stage and it wasn't love at first sight, and thought if I had the  coordinating Stylish Stems Framelits Dies, it would kindle the love for the stamp set.  While this card only features the Framelits, the stamp set and I have become friends and I will show them off in my next post.  (Save 10% on the stamp set & dies with the Special Reason Bundle).

The lovely Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper looks so pretty with the stamps & dies duo.

I had to use the delicious new Glimmer Paper and I wish you could see the actual card because it's so, so pretty!  The 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack was added on to the Sale-A-Bration items which you can earn for FREE!  Hurry, because Sale-A-Bration items are ONLY AVAILABLE through March 31st.
With the Sale-A-Bration Fun challenge over at SUO Only, you'll find so many Fun ways to use those FREE products!

Another "Hey, Chick" Card

I don't think I could ever get tired of the Hello, Chick set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  And the best is, you can earn it for FREE, but only until March 31st.  This stamp set has the cutest chicks along with their little cracked egg sidekick.
The card is pretty basic and self-explanatory.  I doubled up on the die-cut "hello" using a solid cardstock behind the DSP.
Sunday Stamps has a very simple, easy-to-play-along-with sketch for their current challenge, it's almost like, how can you NOT play along?  :)

You can make it too!

Valentine Note Card & Treat Box

Valentine's is just a few days away.  How did that happen?  I was out of town for a few days and again, working with limited supplies.  The Tiny Treat Boxes have been retired, but the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes are a fabulous replacement!  I cut the Kraft Cardstock to make a 3.5"x3.5" notecard.  The stamped/die cut clouds were left over from  a previous project and I had a scrap piece of cardstock and these little birds from the Made With Love stamp set were stamped all over it.  I used the heart die from the Up & Away Thinlits Dies to cut it out. The heart-shaped window opening on the box was made with the same heart die. I place a thick piece of cardstock inside the flattened box, to protect the back of the box from accidentally being cut through. I used the 2x8 cellophane bags to hold the red m&m's.  This is a very versatile project for Valentine's Day, escpecially if you are short on time.  A simple note card and cute little box of candies is always a welcome treat.

Bugs and Kisses

Can I tell you how excited I was when I saw the Beetles & Bugs stamp set in the new Occasions Catalog?   My hubby is a licensed pest control applicator (aka "The Exterminator"), specializing in bugs.  I've been having a ball behind the scenes with this stamp set.   This card is perfect for Valentine's Day or any old day, just to say "I love you."  The heart-covered paper is from A Little Foxy DSP Stack.  And don't forget those sweet little Enamel Shapes!

Have to give credit to Sunday Stamps for my color and paper choices.  Their latest challenge (SSC145 Poppy Palette) saved me from hours of indecisiveness.  Rock on, Sunday Stamps!

Also inspired by all of the "love" over at SUO Challenge where the theme is 'Valentines'.

I heat-embossed the black outline of the little bug, just to add some definition since it's a rather small image.

Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits

I know I said I was done with balloon cards, but this one has been laying on my work table for two weeks, waiting to be completed. The inside was all done, but I guess I lost some steam after that and left the card front blank. After much procrastination, it finally has a face. After heat-embossing the sentiment, I used the Sponge Brayer to add some strokes of color, in Pacific Point, Crushed Curry and Emerald Envy. Easy peasy.

Here's a tip: Stamp and heat-emboss sentiment first. Then sponge on the color and remove any ink from the surface of the embossed image with a soft cloth or tissue. Or, if you're like me, use your finger! HA!
